Stepping out of my comfortable 11 x 14 format and going big, at least big for me. This 16" x 20" acrylic is from last summer's Chilcotin trip on the road to Nemiah. I call it "Road to Nemiah"

Glacier Lake No. 2 is a rework. The foreground, lake, ski, and conifers of this 11"x14" acrylic were repainted many times.

This is a glazed version of a previous post. It's being shipped off to the Federation Gallery for the "Artist's Choice" show running Jan 31 to Feb 12.

"Whistler No. 9" is the latest variation on a series from a single reference.

This one, "Paul Lake", is one of my current favorites. It's not a favorite in terms of composition but  because it was one of those paintings that went through a prolonged ugly period before something worthwhile started to emerge. I like that a loose feel was preserved even though it went through many revisions.It'll be part of the FCA 75th Anniversary Signature Celebration and Exhibition.

The Plein Air Show starts May 10 at the Federation Gallery, Granville Island. "Round Island" painted on-site in Tom Hutton's yard overlooking Stuart Channel will be one of many plein air works on display.
