This is a glazed version of a previous post. It's being shipped off to the Federation Gallery for the "Artist's Choice" show running Jan 31 to Feb 12.

"Whistler No. 9" is the latest variation on a series from a single reference.

This one, "Paul Lake", is one of my current favorites. It's not a favorite in terms of composition but  because it was one of those paintings that went through a prolonged ugly period before something worthwhile started to emerge. I like that a loose feel was preserved even though it went through many revisions.It'll be part of the FCA 75th Anniversary Signature Celebration and Exhibition.

The Plein Air Show starts May 10 at the Federation Gallery, Granville Island. "Round Island" painted on-site in Tom Hutton's yard overlooking Stuart Channel will be one of many plein air works on display.

I'll be hand delivering "Tara Creek" and "Klemtu" to the TNSC National Open Show in Kamloops. Looking forward to meeting with the TNSC folks at the reception on Friday Apr 22 and enjoying all the show entries.

"Crow and Gate No. 2" was completed pond-side and is now showing at the Federation Gallery during "Canvas Unbound" running April 12 to 24. The show features a wide variety of works from many fine artists. Check it out on-line (http://artists.ca/show/current_exhibition)

Honoured to have "Bamfield #1" awarded third prize in Vancouver FCA's Landscape Exhibition running Feb 16 to 28 at the Federation Gallery.
